Karol Świderski (29, striker, Polish, from Panathinaikos to Widzew Łódź)

 This experienced Polish international has created the biggest buzz for Widzew Łódź during this transfer window. The forward's career spans 12 seasons with such clubs as: PAOK and Panathinaikos (Greece), Hellas Verona (Italy), Jagiellonia Białystok (Poland) and Charlotte FC, where he was a Designated Player. He scored over 100 league goals and 14 for Poland, where he currently has 51 caps. He has been a member of the Polish team at Euro 2020, World Cup 2022 and Euro 2024.

Bruno Durdov (18, winger, Croatian, from Hajduk Split to Górnik Zabrze)

 This talented 18-year-old amassed 55 games for Hajduk Spilt over the past three seasons, registering four goals and two assists. “He is a young and fast player,” says Tomislav Gabelić, a journalist from Croatian 24 Sata, “he has an excellent left foot. In terms of ability, Durdov has the potential to be a starter at Górnik. There were matches where he was truly impressive."

Luis Palma (26, winger, Honduran, from Celtic to Lech Poznań)

Last season he took the Polish league by storm and was one of the key players on Lech Poznań’s championship squad. His 16-goal contribution was in the top-eight in Poland and most of his strikes were things of beauty.

Due to his prowess and dynamism on the field, Palma became the darling of the home crowd, and it was no wonder Lech broke the bank and paid Celtic a record $4 million for a permanent deal. The fans, front office and club’s leading goalscorer Mikel Ishak hope that if the Honduran international did so well in Lech while being on loan, he will do even better now that he can call Poznan his home. 

Filip Marchwiński (24, attacking midfielder, Polish, loaned from Lecce to Cracovia)

In 2018 as a 16-year-old he debuted and scored for his homegrown club Lech Poznań, where - over the next six seasons - he scored 19 goals in 125 games and won the 2021/22 Ekstraklasa title. In 2024 he joined Serie A’s side Lecce.

“He left as a big talent and a Polish international. Now he’s returning to Poland on loan, so let’s see about the shape he’s in, because he had multiple health problems in Italy. For the sake of Polish’s football, we all hope that he can use this upcoming season to rebound his career,”  says Tomasz Włodarczyk, the Editor-in-Chief of the Polish soccer news portal Meczyki.pl. 

Allahyar Sayyadmanesh (25, winger, Iran, from Westerlo to Lech Poznań)

Here’s a name that even Polish announcers will struggle to pronounce! But they definitely should learn it and do it soon, because this Iranian international and former Feherbahce, Hull and Westerlo winger has joined Lech for $4 million where he is expected to leave a positive mark.

Over the last two seasons he scored 14 goals and added nine assists in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League. He will join Ali Gholizadeh - who has done very well in Poland - as the second player from Iran on Lech. Will this Persian duo help Lech make it through the Champion’s League qualifiers and defend the title? Only time will tell.
