How to Watch: Monaco vs. Nice on beIN SPORTS
Monaco aim to keep climbing the Ligue 1 table and increase the pressure on their Mediterranean rivals Nice in a highly anticipated Derby de la Côte d'Azur.
Monaco Look to Keep Momentum
While Monaco and Nice may be separated by only a few miles along France’s glamorous Côte d’Azur, these fierce Mediterranean rivals are heading in very different directions in the Ligue 1 standings.
Monaco are currently juggling a demanding schedule in both Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League, but the team has managed to stay in fourth place domestically, just three points behind PSG at the top.
This week will test their depth as the squad comes off an intense 2-2 home draw against Manchester City on Wednesday, followed by a fiery local derby at home to Nice on Sunday.
Monaco boast a powerful attacking lineup featuring Mika Biereth, Folarin Balogun, Ansu Fati, and Takumi Minamino, who have all contributed to the club’s tally of 14 goals in six games—making them the league’s top scorers. Behind them, young playmaker Maghnes Akliouche continues to impress as one of the brightest creative talents in French football.

Nice Struggling to Find Stability
Sunday’s visitors Nice have endured a rough start to the season, picking up just two wins in Ligue 1 and currently sitting 12th, two points above the relegation zone.
The team comes into this match after a string of poor results, including defeats to Roma and Fenerbahce in the Europa League, a league loss to Brest, and a home draw against Paris FC last week.
“It is insufficient. We expect better, but it is our reality,” admitted head coach Franck Haise, who is under growing pressure.
With one day less rest than Monaco—due to Thursday’s trip to Galatasaray to face Fenerbahce—their thin squad will need to raise their level significantly if they hope to head into the international break in a more secure position.
