It's a proud record built on a run of form away from home that sees Lille winning its last seven. Those results put Lille into this season's Champions League group stages and a victory on Thursday at Toulouse could move Lille momentarily to the top of the Ligue 1 standings.
However, the downside of this form is that other teams took notice, and Lille lost Ayyoub Bouaddi and Matias Fernandez-Pardo in recent weeks in the transfer market to Manchester City and Newcastle United respectively, all be it for up to $200m for the pair.
Toulouse also had a drain of talent in the summer window, which resulted in the team already near the bottom of the table with one point from two games. The club could not have picked harder opponents on Thursday to pick up its first victory of the season.
