PSG Keeps Making History and Smashes This Impressive Milan Record
PSG has broken the record of 39 unbeaten away league matches, previously set between 1991 and 1993
Last night, PSG returned to Nantes to come full circle. Over a year ago, specifically in February 2024, Luis Enrique showcased his admirable personality by benching Kylian Mbappé during a visit to the Stade de la Beaujoire, just days after news of his signing with Real Madrid was leaked. Now, as a completely different team, PSG returned to Nantes more than 12 months later to continue making history⊠and to smash this impressive Milan record.

PSG reaches 39 games unbeaten away from the Parc des Princes
Itâs been several weeks since PSG was crowned Ligue 1 champions. However, they havenât taken their foot off the gas, as they still had a chance to break several historical records. Last night, they couldnât get more than a draw against Nantes. But it was enough to surpass Milanâs 38-game unbeaten league streak away from San Siro between 1991 and 1993.
Luis Enrique, unsurprisingly, was extremely proud after the match for having broken this record and making history: âWe should be happy to have broken this incredible Milan record. Itâs very difficult to achieve because you have to play very consistent seasons.â That said, he clearly wouldâve preferred to celebrate with a win and was also self-critical: âWe made some mistakes, and Nantes took advantage of them to score.â
Luis Enrique acknowledges Galtierâs contribution
To recall the last time PSG lost an away match in Ligue 1, you have to go back to February 2023 when Christophe Galtier was still on the bench. It was during a visit to Monaco, right before the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 clash against Bayern Munich⊠and after being knocked out by Olympique de Marseille in the Coupe de France. Without a doubt, a critical moment in PSGâs season.
Since then, PSG has built an impressive record of 30 wins and only nine draws away from the Parc des Princes. Last season, they remained unbeaten on the road all year⊠and this season, theyâre on track to repeat the feat. However, Luis Enrique didnât hesitate to acknowledge Galtierâs role in the press conference, calling him the coach who started this process⊠while still dreaming of turning PSG into the first ever unbeaten Ligue 1 champion.
