The New Confrontation Between Vinicius Jr and Cholo Simeone in Atlético Madrid’s Defeat Against Real Madrid
The Atlético de Madrid coach confronted the Brazilian player from Real again after he scored a brace and made gestures
Real Madrid wins, along with controversy
The match between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid saw plenty of goals, but also tension between the teams. Movistar Plus+ Deportes cameras captured an exchange between Vinicius Jr. and Cholo Simeone during the final minutes of the match at the Santiago Bernabéu, where the home team won 3-2 against Atlético de Madrid. Vinicius scored a brace and headed to the bench after being substituted in the 86th minute; at that point, he addressed the stands with a smile as he paced in front of Atlético’s Argentine head coach. Simeone responded by pointing at Vinicius and alerting the fourth official to his behavior.
The story of the clash between Vinicius and Cholo Simeone
This is not the first time the two have crossed paths; previously, in the Spanish Super Cup, Simeone had told the Brazilian Real Madrid striker about his future at the Madrid club: “Florentino is going to kick you out. Remember what I'm telling you,” Simeone said. At the time, this comment generated a lot of controversy, and it received a response in this match when the winger dedicated his brace to the Real Madrid president: “The president always tells me that I have to score two goals, and today I scored two; they're for him,” said Vinicius Jr. “I’ve worked all season for games like these. I don’t know what it is about me, but I always get better, I always score, and I always provide assists."

The aftermath of the match
Real Madrid's victory, led by Vinicius Jr., not only solidifies their position in LaLiga but also marks another chapter in the confrontation between Cholo Simeone and the Brazilian player, a rivalry that has already produced two highly interesting episodes this season, as well as classic Madrid derbies.
