New names on the Real Madrid list

Real Madrid announced the squad for the fifth matchday of LaLiga EA Sports against Rayo Vallecano, featuring Aurélien Tchouaméni, Thiago Pitarch, Endrick, and Raúl Asencio as new additions after their respective injuries.

The two midfielders and the forward were already on the bench in the 2-1 victory against Inter Milan in the Champions League, and the Frenchman had ten minutes as a substitute for Trent in the final stretch of the match. Now, they could enjoy their first minutes in LaLiga this season.

For his part, Asencio rejoined training in the Thursday session and participated again in the one on Friday, facing the final steps of his recovery after a muscle injury that has kept him off the field since the end of July.

Regarding the Champions League call-up, Mourinho also brings back the suspended Bernardo Silva, Eduardo Camavinga, and Arda Güler, who were carrying over expulsions from last season.

In the press conference before the match against Rayo, the Portuguese hinted at the possibility of rotations: "It's a match we have to win, we have to go strong, but obviously there is room. Maybe rotation isn't a word I like much, but there will be room for new energy, legs with a lot of gas.

"We have recovered Camavinga, Bernardo, and Arda, and now we have a group strong enough to give opportunities to some legs with a lot of energy and to others to have a bit of rest, which is important. We think it's important that two or three players who didn't play in the last match can give a bit more energy to the group," he summarized.

The confirmed absences are three: Rodrygo Goes, with a severe knee injury; Éder Militao, rupture of the proximal tendon of the left hamstring; and Ferland Mendy, injury to the tendon of the right rectus femoris.

The list of players called up for the match that will be played this Saturday is as follows:

. Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin, and Mestre.

. Defenders: Asencio, Trent, Dumfries, Huijsen, Rüdiger, Konaté, Carreras, and Cucurella.

. Midfielders: Camavinga, Bellingham, Fede Valverde, Tchouaméni, Bernardo Silva, Arda Güler, and Thiago Pitarch.

. Forwards: Vinícius, Endrick, Mbappé, Brahim Díaz, Carlos Espí, and Yan Diomande. EFE
