RB Leipzig has already begun preparing for the expected departure of Yan Diomande, as Real Madrid moves closer to completing a deal for the highly rated Ivorian winger.
According to reports in Germany, Francisco Conceição, currently with Juventus, tops Leipzig's shortlist of potential replacements. The Bundesliga club is also monitoring Paul Nebel of Mainz, Malick Fofana from Olympique Lyon, and Said El Mala of Cologne, who is also attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund.
Leipzig is expected to have the financial flexibility to pursue any of those targets if Diomande completes his transfer. Reports suggest the German club rejected an initial €100 million bid from Real Madrid, while a second improved offer is believed to be worth between €115 million and €120 million.
Beyond replacing Diomande, Leipzig is also working on strengthening its squad in other areas, with German international Nadiem Amiri among the club's transfer targets.
Diomande's potential move could also have ripple effects across the European transfer market.
