Brahim Diaz is excited by the intensity of Jose Mourinho and believes his drive will help Real Madrid get back to winning titles.

Madrid failed to win silverware under Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa last season, and they have now gone two campaigns without winning LaLiga, the Copa del Rey or the Champions League.

They last failed to win any of those competitions in three straight seasons between 2003-04 and 2005-06.

As such, they have now turned to former manager Mourinho, who won LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de Espana in his first spell in charge between 2010 and 2013.

Madrid won two pre-season friendlies behind closed doors before drawing 2-2 in their first public outing against Fiorentina last Saturday.

And Brahim has been impressed by Mourinho's thorough preparations as the new season edges ever closer.

"It's going very well because both he and his staff are very well-prepared," he told Real Madrid TV.

"We already know what Mourinho is, everything he has won, and we want to keep winning with him.

"He tells us to be intense, that we have a lot of individual quality, that we can make the difference, but in the end, work is super important, that we sacrifice for each other and that we are a team."

Madrid have been making big moves in the transfer market to ensure they can challenge at the top, with the likes of Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries and Carlos Espi already joining this summer.

And Los Blancos announced on Thursday they have also added Yan Diomande to their ranks after agreeing a deal reportedly worth up to €140m with RB Leipzig.

Brahim, who only recently returned to training after helping Morocco reach the World Cup quarter-finals, is determined to play a role in ending Madrid's wait for silverware.

"To be at 100% and help the team. It's clear that I will give the maximum I can," Brahim said.

"I see all Madridistas happy with my football as well. On an individual level, I'm going to give my best version in every match.

"The most beautiful thing on a collective level is winning titles. This is Real Madrid, and we have to win titles."
