Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia is experiencing slight discomfort in his right knee, according to an announcement made by the blue and claret club this Thursday, which did not specify the expected recovery time.

The Spanish international felt discomfort during the first half of the match on Wednesday between Barcelona and Racing de Santander at the Spotify Camp Nou, and was substituted at halftime by the Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

On this occasion, Joan Garcia's left knee is not affected, which he underwent surgery on last year for a torn meniscus that forced him to be sidelined for more than a month.

After the thrashing against the Cantabrian team (7-2), the blue-and-gran team trained this Thursday at the facilities of the Joan Gamper Sports City.

The players who played the most minutes today did compensatory work, while the rest trained on the grass of Camp Tito Vilanova. The reserve team players Jesse Bisiwu and Hamza Abdelkarim also participated.

Barcelona will train again this Friday and, afterward, coach Hansi Flick will appear in the press room to analyze the match on Saturday against Sevilla at the Sánchez-Pizjuán. EFE
