While raising Messi and his three siblings in Rosario, Cuccittini worked as a part-time house cleaner to help support the family. Her income complemented that of her husband, Jorge Messi, who worked as a supervisor at a steel factory. Alongside her cleaning job, she also spent time working at a magnet manufacturing factory.
Those years were far removed from fame. The focus was never on trophies or records but on raising her children and supporting Lionel's dream, which at the time looked like that of any young boy passionate about football, not the beginning of one of the greatest careers in the sport's history.
