Kylian Mbappé was hospitalized this week in Miami due to a severe case of gastroenteritis. The illness already ruled him out of the opener against Al Hilal, and he will also miss the match versus Pachuca, which will be played in Charlotte. The French striker remains resting at the team hotel and did not travel with the squad to North Carolina. Head coach Xabi Alonso confirmed his absence but noted that he is recovering well and could be available for the third match of the group stage.
