Universidad Católica drew 1-1 with Libertad in the second leg of the CONMEBOL Copa Sudamericana Round of 16 Playoffs. Despite the draw, Libertad advanced with a 3-1 aggregate score.

José Fajardo scored the opening goal in the 6th minute for Universidad Católica. Libertad equalized in the 90+2’ minute with a header from Óscar Cardozo, sealing their progression to the next round.

As a result, Libertad will face Sportivo Ameliano in the Round of 16, while Universidad Católica is eliminated from the competition.
