The summer transfer window once again showed that selling well can be just as important as strengthening a squad. Around 500 transactions were completed in LaLiga Hypermotion between arrivals and departures, with several clubs generating significant profits through player sales.
The Teams That Made Huge Sums From Player Sales in This Transfer Window
The transfer market produced record figures in LaLiga Hypermotion, with Mallorca and Girona leading the way through player sales, while several other clubs also managed to finish the window with positive financial balances.
In total, teams in the division brought in approximately €173.33 million and spent close to €35 million on new signings. That resulted in an overall surplus of nearly €138 million, a figure that comfortably exceeds the totals recorded in the previous two transfer windows.
Mallorca and Girona Lead the Way in Sales
The biggest beneficiaries were Mallorca and Girona, who combined to generate around €109 million in player sales. That amount represents more than half of all transfer income recorded by clubs in the division during the window.
Despite parting ways with important players, both clubs also invested in strengthening their squads. Together, they spent close to €15 million of the approximately €35 million invested across the entire competition.
The market also produced notable moves for other teams. Leganés, for example, managed to maintain a positive balance despite completing one of the window's most eye-catching signings with the arrival of Álvaro Morata.
Twelve Teams Finished the Window With a Profit
A total of 12 clubs ended the transfer window with more money coming in than going out, highlighting an increasingly important trend toward financial sustainability through player trading.
At the other end of the spectrum were Valladolid, Castellón, Eibar and Real Sociedad B, who spent more than they generated through sales, although the differences remained relatively small.
Six other teams finished the window with a completely balanced transfer sheet: Celta Fortuna, Tenerife, Ceuta, Eldense, Albacete and Sabadell. The latter was particularly active, completing 25 transactions without recording a net spend.
The figures confirm the financial growth of the transfer market over the past few seasons. In 2024-25, clubs sold players for around €60 million. That total rose to approximately €119.7 million in 2025-26. This summer, transfer income reached €173.33 million, underlining a window in which several clubs turned player sales into a major source of revenue.
