The Incident During the Match Against FC Andorra
The accident occurred this Monday in the final stretch of the Spanish Segunda División match between Tenerife and FC Andorra at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium, when the Tenerife attacker collided accidentally with the visiting goalkeeper, Jesús Owono, while contesting a loose ball.
Jesús de Miguel received a heavy blow to the chest, after which he went into cardiac arrest.
The incident forced the match to be definitively suspended in the 108th minute in order to allow medical services to access the pitch.
Medical professionals attended to the player on the grass and he was subsequently rushed by ambulance to the hospital.

"There are no words of comfort; there is absolutely nothing that can ease this feeling filled with sadness. We stand with his devastated family, with his loved ones, with all the Tenerife faithful who today mourn this cruel outcome," the club added.
It also thanked "each and every one of the messages of support received" and asked for maximum respect for his privacy "in these terrible moments." EFE
