Barcelona shake up the transfer market with a signing set to transform their attack
The Catalan club have secured the arrival of one of the most dangerous attackers in international soccer. The deal represents an unprecedented investment for the club and strengthens a project determined to continue dominating both in Spain and abroad.
A hugely ambitious move
The Brazilian international arrives from Manchester City on a permanent transfer and joins a team looking to revitalize its attacking options while maintaining its ambition of competing for every trophy.
The move also represents one of the most significant deals completed by the club’s women’s section. According to several reports, the agreement could be worth approximately €1.5 million in fixed and variable payments, a figure that would make the forward the most expensive signing in Barcelona Femení history.
An attacker capable of changing games
At 26, Kerolin arrives in Barcelona at the peak of her career and with experience in some of the world’s leading competitions.
Although she primarily plays as a winger, the Brazilian can operate in several positions across the frontline. Her speed, power, one-on-one ability and talent for finding space around the penalty area provide new possibilities for Pere Romeu’s system.
A career built across different leagues
The new Barcelona player began her professional career in Brazil and was part of the Corinthians side that won the 2017 Copa Libertadores Femenina.
She later moved to Spanish soccer to play for Madrid CFF before continuing her career in the United States with the North Carolina Courage. Her performances in the NWSL eventually earned her a move to Manchester City, which she joined in January 2025.
After a season and a half in England, the attacker returns to Liga F to begin the most ambitious chapter of her career.
A new chapter for the Barcelona project
Kerolin was officially presented at the Spotify Camp Nou offices, where she signed her contract alongside president Joan Laporta and other club representatives. In her first comments as a Barcelona player, she acknowledged that joining the club represented the fulfillment of one of her greatest professional dreams.
The forward has already begun working with her new teammates during the club’s preseason training camp in Andorra, beginning her adaptation to a team that will once again enter the season with the highest ambitions.
