Marco Reus Gifts 80,000 Beers to Borussia Dortmund Fans
Marco Reus played his last match at Signal Iduna Park as a Borussia Dortmund player. With the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid still to come, the 34-year-old German will leave the team at the end of the season.
Reus bid farewell to the fans in style, scoring in Dortmund’s 4-0 victory over Darmstadt and gifting a beer to each of the 80,000 spectators in the stadium.
"It was the last time I was at home, and I wanted to enjoy it. I am incredibly grateful for the love the people have shown me. I hope to give something back to them. It was perfect to feel the atmosphere of the 'Yellow Wall,'" said Reus, who celebrated with the Dortmund supporters.
The forward recorded 170 goals in 427 matches over 12 years with the club.
