African football continues to dazzle this summer on beIN SPORTS, and now one of the most anticipated events is here: the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN 2025). From Saturday, August 2 to August 30, the best players competing in African domestic leagues will represent their nations in a tournament full of excitement, talent, and passion throughout a month of action.
This CAF-organized competition, reserved exclusively for players active in local leagues, will be co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda, and will feature 19 national teams. Among the favorites are continental powerhouses such as Senegal, the current defending champions, along with Nigeria, Morocco, Algeria, and South Africa.
All matches will be broadcast live and exclusively on the beIN SPORTS network, which will provide full coverage of the tournament, including in-depth analysis, highlights, and special interviews.
Don’t Miss This Clash: Morocco vs. Angola on August 3
One of the most anticipated matchups in the group stage is the showdown between Morocco and Angola, set for Sunday, August 3 at 11:00 AM ET, live on beIN SPORTS. This encounter features two nations with different histories but equal determination.

Morocco, champions in 2018 and 2020, is aiming to become the first country to win three CHAN titles, a feat that would make them the most successful team in the tournament’s history. Coached by Tarik Sektioui, a former Moroccan international with experience in European clubs like FC Porto, the Atlas Lions are hungry for redemption after missing out on the 2022 edition.
Angola, known as the Palancas Negras (Black Sable Antelopes), are playing in their fifth CHAN appearance. Their best result came with a fourth-place finish in 2011, and under head coach Pedro Gonçalves, they enter the tournament with a strong core of domestic talent after recently winning the COSAFA Cup. Gonçalves, who has found success with youth squads, also led Angola to the quarterfinals of the last Africa Cup of Nations.
