Ivory Coast had to work far harder than expected to earn a 2-0 win over Somalia and claim their second straight victory in the 2027 AFCON Qualifiers. The Elephants controlled much of the match but were forced to wait until the closing stages to finally break down a stubborn Somali side.
Yann Gboho opened the scoring in the 82nd minute, before Bazoumana Touré sealed the result in the 90+5, securing another important three points and keeping Ivory Coast perfect in Group C.
