Comoros and Namibia offered us an exciting match in these qualifiers for AFCON 2027. Comoros secured their first victory with a 1-0 win over Namibia in their Group G match on the second day on Tuesday.
The Comoros achieved a historic victory in the qualifiers for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 by beating Namibia 1-0 in the match corresponding to the second round of Group G, played this Tuesday
The hero of the night was Benjaloud Youssouf, who broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a decisive goal after a goalless first half. With this result, the Islanders picked up their first three points in the competition, putting their 3-1 defeat to Cameroon in their opening match behind them.
Namibia, which had started well by beating Congo 1-0, sought to turn things around in the second half with several attacking substitutions, but was unable to break down the Comorian defense or salvage a draw.
The Group G standings are now very tight: Comoros, Namibia, and Cameroon each have three points, although the Indomitable Lions have played one fewer match. In the other match of the day, Cameroon will face Congo, which is in last place with no points and needs to pick up some to keep its hopes alive in the tournament
