The Best Archers From the United States, Mexico and Colombia Compete With LA2026 as Another Target
The best archers from North, Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean have gathered in Tlaxcala, Mexico for the 2026 World Archery Pan American Championships, and you can catch the best of the action live on beIN SPORTS in English and Spanish.
The Pan American Championships were first held more than 50 years ago, with Mexico hosting the inaugural edition in Acapulco in 1972. Every two years, the best archers from the region compete in a sport that is already globally dominated by competitors from the United States, Colombia, and Mexico.
As well as being a prestigious tournament in itself, the Pan American Championships will also be main qualifier for the Lima 2027 Pan American Games, which in turn are the principal qualification event for the Americas for the LA28 Olympic Games.
Stars of previous Olympic Games and World Championships will be competing in three separate categories across the weekend: Recurve, Compound and Barebow. All four defending champions from the 2024 Games are in action defending their titles – Matias Grande (Mexico), Olympic bronze-medalist Casey Kaufhold from the United States, Sebastian Garcia Flores (Mexico) and Alexis Ruiz (USA).
This ensures non-stop, world-class action in a sport which is a true test of skill, strength, and nerve.
