ONE Friday Fights 129 Results: Tengnueng Claims Victory In Three-Round Slugfest, Smith Gets 81-Second Knockout
Tengnueng Fairtex outlasted Tun Min Aung in a grueling three-round war, while Fergus Smith delivered a stunning 81-second knockout in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 129.
Thai Veteran Prevails in Main Event Slugfest
Tengnueng Fairtex proved that experience counts when the pressure rises, edging out Tun Min Aung in a 165-pound Muay Thai main event showdown. From the opening bell, both fighters engaged in relentless close-range exchanges, refusing to give an inch.
After a brief feeling-out process, the two southpaws set a blistering pace and traded vicious strikes. Tun Min Aung pressed forward, headhunting with heavy combinations, but Tengnueng stayed composed, countering effectively and opening a cut on his opponent’s forehead with a perfectly timed left elbow.
The intensity climbed just 40 seconds into the second round when the Fairtex Training Center representative landed a shovel hook to the body followed by a thunderous left hook to the head, sending Tun Min Aung staggering. Tengnueng then delivered a crushing knee to the head, which seemed to reignite the young striker. The Myanmar prodigy regained his footing and cracked Tengnueng with a powerful right hand late in the round.
The third and final frame turned into a battle of pure determination. Tun Min Aung continued throwing high kicks and aggressive flurries, but Tengnueng matched him blow for blow with the composure of a seasoned warrior. After three high-paced rounds, the judges awarded Tengnueng Fairtex a unanimous decision victory, improving his record to 104-15-4.
British Teenager Destroys Opponent in Featured Attraction
Rising British prodigy Fergus Smith wasted no time making a statement in his ONE Championship debut, obliterating Zahran Al-Wesabi in just 81 seconds during their 118-pound Muay Thai clash.
The 19-year-old Bad Company standout, who trains alongside former ONE World Title challenger Liam “Hitman” Harrison, displayed ruthless precision and aggression from the outset. When Al-Wesabi attempted a right hook, Smith countered with superior speed and accuracy, unleashing a furious combination that dropped the Yemeni fighter hard.

Though Al-Wesabi beat the referee’s eight-count and tried to create distance with a push kick, Smith closed in with surgical aggression, landing a sharp three-punch combo that sent his opponent crashing to the canvas once more. The referee stopped the fight at 1:21 of round one, awarding Smith a knockout victory that extended his unbeaten record to 6-0 and cemented him as one of Muay Thai’s most promising young talents.
