Friday Fights 155 Results: Yunusov stays perfect, Panpayak bounces back
It was another momentous night at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, as ONE Friday Fights delivered nail-biting action on Friday, May 22
It was another momentous night at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, as ONE Friday Fights delivered nail-biting action on Friday, May 22. Rustam "Tomahawk" Yunusov backed up his own noise with a gritty, hard-fought unanimous decision over clinch specialist Decho Mavinn Muaythai to move his record to a perfect 17-0 and cement himself as one of the most exciting young fighters in the flyweight Muay Thai division.
In the co-main event, seven-time World Champion “The Angel Warrior” Panpayak Jitmuangnon shook off the rust with a trademark performance to edge Othman "The Ironside" Rhouni by split decision and get back in the win column.
Yunusov survives the storm
Rustam "Tomahawk" Yunusov said he was going to make noise, and he meant every word. But Decho Mavinn Muaythai did not make it easy for him.
Decho made the clinch his home from the opening bell, landing sharp knees on the inside and controlling exchanges with the suffocating pressure that has defined his ONE Friday Fights run. The proud Muay Khao fighter edged the first round convincingly, and in the second, he continued to punish his Russian adversary with knees in the clinch.
A straight punch that rattled Yunusov's chin midway through the frame had the crowd wondering if the 19-year-old was going to taste defeat for the first time.
But Yunusov would not break.
The teenager fired back with boxing combinations that swung the momentum in his favor before the bell, and he came out in the third round hammering elbows into Decho's temple.
What followed was one of the rawest exchanges of the year — both men standing in the center of the ring, trading punches, and testing each other's heart all the way to the final bell.
When the scorecards came in, the judges awarded the fight to Yunusov, who improved to a flawless 17-0.

‘The Angel Warrior’ gets back on track
Panpayak Jitmuangnon needed a statement performance, and his left kick delivered one.
The seven-time Muay Thai World Champion pressed forward from the opening bell against promotional newcomer Othman "The Ironside" Rhouni, using his signature weapon to disrupt the Moroccan's unorthodox rhythm and punish him every time he tried to advance in their bantamweight kickboxing clash.
Rhouni showed he belonged, increasing the aggression in the second round with body shots and pushing the pace in the third with knees to Panpayak’s midsection.
But “The Angel Warrior” stayed disciplined, cutting angles, firing left kicks into Rhouni's side, and following with straight left hands whenever the Moroccan stepped in.
It was not the dominant Panpayak of old, but it was a smart and experienced performance from a fighter who has been through far worse.
The split decision was the rebound he needed, improving his record to an incredible 251-44 and reminding everyone that “The Angel Warrior” still has plenty left to offer.
