ONE Friday Fights 128 Results: Irvine Earns Contract With First-Round Knockout, Duangdawnoi Gets Revenge
Stephen “El Matador” Irvine earned a life-changing US$100,000 contract and a spot on the ONE Championship global roster with a spectacular head-kick knockout, while Duangdawnoi Looksaikongdin avenged her 2016 loss to Kim Townsend with a dominant victory in Bangkok.
Irvine’s Stunning Knockout Secures His ONE Championship Deal
Stephen “El Matador” Irvine lived up to his promise to expose Rambong Sor Therapat’s reckless style, delivering a perfectly timed head-kick knockout that stunned the crowd in Friday’s main event.
The 130-pound Muay Thai showdown began with Rambong pressing forward, closing the distance and throwing heavy combinations against the taller Scotsman. However, Irvine maintained his composure, using sharp body kicks to slow down the Thai veteran.
The setup was brilliant. After conditioning Rambong to expect low attacks, the Scottish striker feinted another body kick and instead launched his shin high, landing flush against Rambong’s neck. The impact instantly turned the lights out, sending the Thai crashing to the canvas at 2:46 of the first round.
Without celebrating, Irvine walked away confidently — a true walk-off knockout — earning a contract worth six figures and joining fellow Scotsman Nico Carrillo as part of ONE Championship’s elite global roster.
Duangdawnoi’s Redemption After Nearly a Decade
In the co-main event, Duangdawnoi “Little Star” Looksaikongdin claimed redemption with a unanimous-decision victory over Australia’s Kim “Lil K” Townsend, avenging her split-decision defeat from 2016.

From the opening bell, Duangdawnoi — the sister-in-law of Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon — imposed her will in their 107-pound rematch, cutting Townsend’s forehead open with a razor-sharp elbow. Despite the nasty gash that required multiple medical checks, Townsend refused to back down and charged forward with aggressive punching flurries.
The Thai countered with patience and precision, showcasing her elite defensive skills developed over years of family training. Clean elbows, sharp jabs, and perfectly timed right hands earned Duangdawnoi a knockdown count midway through the bout. Although Townsend beat the count, the momentum was gone. Duangdawnoi controlled the remaining rounds, outlanding her rival and sealing a clear decision victory — her first win in ONE Championship, 71st career triumph, and a deeply satisfying moment of revenge nine years in the making.
