Jake Paul Won’t Let Go: Keeps Pushing for Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez Fight and Explores New Mexican Rivals
Jake Paul refuses to give up on a fight with Canelo Álvarez despite constant rejections. The influencer–boxer keeps pushing and now sees Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez as a backup plan if the Mexican star continues ignoring him.
Jake Paul won't stop: the Canelo hunt continues
The boxing world once again revolves around one name: Jake Paul. The controversial YouTuber–turned–boxer refuses to back down from his biggest ambition: facing Canelo Álvarez. Despite repeated rejections from the Mexican superstar, Paul continues to insist the fight can happen and remains committed to pushing for it.
According to recent comments from his representative Nakisa Bidarian, the influencer is convinced that sooner or later he will step in the ring with the boxing icon. For Paul, that showdown would represent the peak of his career, a global event capable of breaking viewership records and securing his place in boxing history.
“Of course, he’s looking to fight for a world title. He’s looking to fight Canelo at the right moment,” Bidarian stated, making it clear that the ambition remains intact despite Canelo's silence.
Canelo ignores, Paul applies pressure
While Canelo Álvarez continues to distance himself from any mention of Jake Paul, the influencer keeps building toward the moment. The frustration is noticeable, but his team insists the fight is still possible.
Canelo’s refusal has inadvertently strengthened Paul’s narrative as the “rejected challenger”, a storyline that plays perfectly into his media strategy. Every interview reignites the debate and keeps him in the boxing conversation.
Bidarian emphasized that Paul wants a “real challenge” and aims to prove himself against elite competition. Critics call it a stunt. Supporters call it an evolution.
“Zurdo” Ramírez becomes part of the equation
While Canelo remains the top objective, the team behind Paul is already evaluating alternatives to stay on track. One of the most prominent names emerging is Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramírez, another top Mexican fighter with an exciting style and major fanbase.
“All those names are potential rivals,” Bidarian confirmed, signaling a clear strategy: if Canelo remains out of reach, Paul will pursue another high–profile Mexican opponent to continue building his boxing legitimacy and media traction.
Jake Paul’s mission: titles and spectacle
Beyond the star names, Paul’s plan is clear: he wants to become a world champion. His team says he will continue taking significant fights and delivering events that shake the sport.
“We want him to become a world champion and continue creating disruptive events,” his representative added, noting that Paul doesn't plan to stay in boxing forever — but long enough to leave a lasting mark.
Five years in, and one thing hasn’t changed: Jake Paul is determined to shock the boxing world… and one day, stand across from Canelo Álvarez under the bright lights.
