Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas will headline the halftime show for the NFL's first regular-season game ever played in Australia
The NFL continues to expand its international footprint, and this time it will do so alongside one of the most recognizable pop groups of the past two decades. The Jonas Brothers have been selected to headline the halftime show at the NFL Melbourne Game 2026, a historic matchup that will mark the league's first regular-season game in Australia.
The performance will take place during the matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, scheduled for September 11, 2026, at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
A global choice
The NFL is banking on the international appeal of Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas as it looks to connect American football with new audiences around the world. The group has sold more than 20 million albums, earned two Grammy nominations and made 26 appearances on the Billboard Hot 100.
The Jonas Brothers have also scored three consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200, highlighting their ability to connect with multiple generations of fans.
The band said it was extremely excited to perform during the first NFL regular-season game in Australia, emphasizing the special opportunity to take the stage at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Part of a historic international season
The Jonas Brothers' performance will be the first of seven halftime shows presented by American Express during the NFL's international games in the 2026 season.
The league will play games across seven countries and four continents, with international matchups also scheduled in London, Madrid, Mexico, Munich, Paris and Rio de Janeiro.
Melbourne will also host the NFL Kickoff Festival, featuring Australian acts including Sneaky Sound System, Kita Alexander and Peking Duk.
The 49ers-Rams game, including the Jonas Brothers' halftime performance, will be available internationally on Netflix. In Australia, fans will also be able to watch the game through Seven Network.
The NFL is once again showing that its international expansion goes beyond the field: football, music and entertainment will come together in Melbourne for a global sporting spectacle.
