Juve topples Atalanta to get back on track
Juventus got back to winning ways in Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Atalanta and former Bianconeri coach Maurizio Sarri.
Francisco Conceicao and Bremer were on target in either half as Juventus bounced back with two games without a win in Serie A.
There was little to shout about in a quiet first half until Conceicao broke the deadlock 28 minutes in.
Zeki Celik's left-sided cross pierced Atalanta's defence, and none of them spotted Conceicao's late dart towards the penalty spot to guide a first-time finish into the bottom-right corner.
However, both teams came out fighting in the second half, with Nico Gonzalez flicking a near-post header across the face of goal from a corner 86 seconds after the restart.
At the other end, Guglielmo Vicario had to get down sharply to push Jonathan Rowe's low drive away after the winger powered forward on the counter-attack.
Marco Carnesecchi was equal to Weston McKennie's thumping header just before the hour, while substitute Pape Matar Sarr was in the right place to block Thomas Kristensen's effort on the line.
Sarr forced a low save out of Carnesecchi as Juventus started to up the pressure again in the final 15 minutes, and it paid off from a 77th-minute corner as Bremer headed Edon Zhegrova's delivery home.
Kolo Muani almost added some late gloss to the scoreline, skipping away from Atalanta's defence while playing a one-two with Nick Woltemade, but he was forced wide, and Carnesecchi rushed out to smother the chance.
