Moyes eager to see more from Alcaraz and McNeil
Everton were held to a 2-2 draw by Ipswich Town last time out, with David Moyes taking a couple of positives ahead of facing Fulham.
David Moyes is hoping to see more from Carlos Alcaraz and Dwight McNeil as Everton's season winds down.
The Toffees face Fulham on Saturday as they look to bounce back of a run of three Premier League games without a win.
In fact, Everton have won just one of their last 10 matches, after they were pegged back to a 2-2 draw by already-relegated Ipswich Town last week.
Julio Enciso and George Hirst got the goals as Everton gave up a 2-0 lead for the fourth time this season, in what was their penultimate match at Goodison Park.
Everton led courtesy of first-half goals from Beto and McNeil.
Beto headed in from an excellent cross from Alcaraz, before McNeil drilled home from long range with a fine left-footed finish.
Alcaraz was starting for just the fifth time after his January loan move from Flamengo, while McNeil has only recently returned from a long-term injury lay-off.
"I'm really pleased because I think with Charly we know and we're trying to give him the opportunity to show what he can do," said Moyes after the Ipswich match.
"I thought he did some good things.
"Dwight, I've not had since I've been here. He's been injured since I arrived and he's not quite been up to the intensity of the speed of training and the games.
"I actually thought in the first half he still wasn't there, even though he scored his goal, then in the second half I thought he did better and put in two or three brilliant crosses for us.
"They're the ones we have to try to score if we're going to win."
While Everton are safely in mid-table, pushing for their highest finish since the 2020-21 season, Fulham are still in with a shout of securing European qualification.
However, their hopes took a hit when they lost to Aston Villa last week.
Marco Silva's team sit 11th on 51 points, but they are only two points behind Bournemouth in eighth.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Fulham - Alex Iwobi
Raul Jimenez is Fulham’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with 10 goals, with former Everton playmaker Iwobi just one behind on nine.
The last top-flight season to see two players reach double figures for the Cottagers was 1966-67 (Allan Clarke 24, Steve Earle 12).
Iwobi, who scored in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park, has also provided six assists in the league this season, having really hit form under Silva, who also managed him at Everton.
Everton - Beto
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin back fit, Beto did his chances of keeping his place at the tip of Everton's attack no harm with his goal against Ipswich.
The former Udinese forward also scored a late equaliser when these teams met earlier in the season.
MATCH PREDICTION: FULHAM WIN
Everton have drawn 15 Premier League games this season. The last team to draw more in a single campaign in the competition were Sunderland in 2014-15 (17), while only in 1994-95 (17) have the Toffees themselves drawn more in the Premier League.
On the flip side, none of Fulham's last 15 Premier League matches have been drawn (W7 L8), their longest run without a draw in the same top-flight campaign since their final 19 games of 2018-19 (W5 L14).
Fulham are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games against Everton (W3 D3), having only avoided defeat in six of their previous 20 versus the Toffees beforehand (W4 D2 L14).
However, having lost their first seven Premier League away games against Fulham, Everton have since only lost two of their last 10 league visits to Craven Cottage (W4 D4).
But Everton have won just one of their last 10 Premier League away games against London sides (D4 L5), beating Crystal Palace 2-1 in February. The Toffees have netted just five goals in these 10 matches.
