Leverkusen's clash with Hamburg postponed
Bayer Leverkusen's Bundesliga clash with Hamburg has been postponed because of concerns over weather conditions.
The match at Volksparkstadion was due to take place on Wednesday (AEDT) but has been pushed back, with the new date for the fixture not yet announced.
Two other games in the German top-flight were also called off over the weekend because of heavy snowfall and freezing conditions.
"The Bundesliga fixture between HSV and Bayer 04 has been called off due to weather-related safety concerns at Volksparkstadion," Leverkusen posted on X.
"We'll keep you updated on the new date."
Leverkusen, which suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Stuttgart last time out, sits fourth in the Bundesliga and takes on Hoffenheim on Sunday (AEDT), while Hamburg, 13th on the table, hosts Borussia Moenchengladbach.
