Leverkusen draw sees Bayern clinch Bundesliga title
Bayern Munich sealed its 34th Bundesliga crown after title rival Bayer Leverkusen was held to a 2-2 draw away to Freiburg.
Leverkusen knew a victory would be enough to delay Bayern's celebrations after Vincent Kompany's side drew 3-3 with RB Leipzig 24 hours earlier.
Though able to salvage a point through Jonathan Tah's stoppage-time equaliser, on what was his 400th Leverkusen appearance, it was unable to find a winner.
Freiburg, battling to secure a spot in next season's Champions League, came out fighting but had to wait until the 44th minute to open the scoring.
Maximilian Eggestein's thunderous effort put it in front, with its lead doubled three minutes after the restart thanks to an own goal from Piero Hincapie.
Florian Wirtz pulled a goal back for Xabi Alonso's men with eight minutes to go, before Tah's header levelled the scores in the third minute of time added on.
Despite late heroics once again, Leverkusen finally relinquished its crown after winning the title during the last campaign and will end its season without a trophy.
The draw leaves Bayern with an unassailable eight-point lead over Leverkusen with two games of the campaign remaining.
