Queen Elizabeth II and James Bond gave the London Olympics opening ceremony a royal entrance on the 27th of July 2012.
Five years ago, London greeted the world in a celebration of Old England that was imaginative,dramatic and stunning.
62,000 people watched the show in the Olympic stadium in London and an estimated global television audience of one billion.
The show featured British celebrities and sportspeople, including David Beckham and Bradley Wiggins, screen characters Mr Bean and James Bond - and even a surprise acting debut from the for Queen Elizabeth II parachuting with James Bond (Daniel Craig) into Olympic Stadium.
The ceremony was immediately seen as a tremendous success, widely praised as a "masterpiece" and "a love letter to Britain".
