Brazilian attacker Galeno scored a first half brace as Porto picked up a 3-1 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk in Hamburg.

All four goals came in 21 first half minutes in a flurry of activity at the Volksparkstadion. Shakhtar made a poor start when keeper Dmytro Riznyk parried away a speculative shot away into the path of Galeno, who moved quickly to opening the scoring.

It wasn't long till Shakhtar found parity. 19-year-old Venezuelan forward Kevin Kelsy rose up to head the Ukranian side level, to the approval of the Hamburg crowd. Two minutes again Porto clicked into gear to go 2-1 up, Galeno the quickest again to pounce on a defennsive error and smashed the ball into the bottom corner.

Galeno capped off a perfect evening with an assist for Iranian international Mehdi Taremi who calmly slotted home the cross from the 25-year-old.
