Germany and Real Madrid midfielder has confirmed that he plans to retire following the conclusion of Euro 2024.

The 34-year old explained his decision to step away from the game in a post on Instagram. “I am happy and proud, that in my mind I found the right timing for my decision and that I could choose it by my own. My ambition was always to finish my career at the peak of my performance level."

Kroos will be hoping his professional career can end of a high as he plays in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund, before then guiding Germany to Euro 2024 glory on home soil.
