Real Madrid deny interest in Chelsea's Enzo Fernandez
Real Madrid have firmly denied reports linking the club with a move for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, insisting it has made no attempt to sign the Argentina international and has no plans to pursue a deal.
In an official statement released on Friday, the Spanish giants said they had not made any approach—either directly or indirectly—for Fernandez, dismissing recent speculation as "unfounded" and not reflective of reality.
"Real Madrid wishes to state that it has not made any efforts, either directly or indirectly, aimed at signing the aforementioned player and, furthermore, has no intention of pursuing such an operation," the club said.
Madrid also expressed its respect for both Fernandez and Chelsea, praising the midfielder's quality while highlighting the strong institutional relationship between the two clubs.
The LaLiga side said the statement was issued out of respect for Chelsea and in line with the principles of institutional loyalty that have long guided the club's conduct.
Real Madrid added that it regretted the continued circulation of inaccurate reports despite there being no contact or movement regarding the player, saying such speculation only creates confusion among supporters and unnecessarily harms the clubs and individuals involved.
