Impeccable Alcaraz sets up another Sinner showdown
World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz eased to a 6-2 6-4 win over Canada's Felix Auger-Aliassime at the ATP Finals in Turin to set up a highly-anticipated title decider with defending champion Jannik Sinner.

The Italian world No.2 defeated Alex de Minaur 7-5 6-2 in the other semi-final.
Alcaraz overcame Auger-Aliassime's spirited resistance by breaking twice in the opening set and nerves appeared to hit the Canadian when serving at 5-4 down in the second as four unforced errors gifted the Spaniard the game, set and match.
Sinner and Alcaraz will go head-to-head in their sixth title decider this year when they return to Inalpi Arena for Monday's (AEDT) final, where the 22-year-old Spaniard will bid to win his first title at the season-ending tournament.
Sinner will be playing in his third successive final in Turin, where he has not dropped a set since losing the 2023 decider to Novak Djokovic.
But Alcaraz was in sparkling form against Auger-Aliassime, especially in the first set, when the Canadian had no answers.
“I felt like I could do everything on court,” Alcaraz said on his first-set display.
“It didn’t matter if I did forehand down the line, drop shot or backhand down the line, I felt that everything was going to be in.
"I think that confidence helped through the whole match, pushing him to the limit, pushing him to do something different and I am happy that I continued playing such great tennis.”
While the prospect of facing Sinner might be daunting for most players on the ATP Tour, Alcaraz has proved to be the Italian's kryponite.
The Spaniard has a 4-1 record over him this season, and that is 10-5 over the course of their entire rivalry.
But Sinner is on a 30-match indoor winning streak and will have a vocal home crowd behind him.
"It is great facing Jannik," Alcaraz said. "If it was someone else I wouldn't mind to be honest but it is great.
"Thanks to him, I will try and approach the match in a different way. More focus and I know I have to play my plan A if I want to beat him, if I want to win the tournament, so I think we will both raise our levels to the top, which is great for the fans and the crowd."
