The 2026 Formula 1® season heads to Madrid from September 11 to 13, as the Spanish Grand Prix makes its highly anticipated debut at the brand-new MADRING!

After years of racing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, the Spanish Grand Prix has a new home in 2026, with Madrid welcoming Formula 1 to the purpose-built MADRING for the very first time. The 5.416km circuit combines public roads and permanent track sections, creating a unique hybrid layout that is set to provide a fresh challenge for the drivers and teams.

Mercedes, winners of nine of the first 13 races, are sure to be in the mix but can expect a tougher fight than Monza where they finished one-two with Kimi Antonelli now 66 points clear of teammate George Russell.

Antonelli can still put the equivalent of three race wins between him and Russell, adding new clues to the guessing game of where he might win the title, while the Briton will be chasing a first win since Austria in June to prevent his hopes from withering further.

McLaren, who won in the Netherlands and Hungary with reigning world champion Lando Norris and have Oscar Piastri hungry to open his account, could be the main rivals.
