Habibpour Vows To Show A Different Version Of Himself At ONE Friday Fights 168

Mohammad "Prince of Persia" Habibpour's ONE Championship debut didn't go the way he envisioned. A Setback He's Determined To Erase

Mohammad Habibpour knows he didn't make the best first impression in his ONE Championship debut earlier this year.

Back in February, the "Prince of Persia" fell short of his own expectations in his promotional debut, falling to Kongklai Sor Sommai via second-round TKO.

But when he steps back into the ring for his sophomore appearance, fans should expect to see a drastically different fighter.

"I have changed and improved my fighting style. I feel more ready than before," Habibpour said. "Last time, I didn't feel 100 percent ready because I was a bit tired. But now, I feel more powerful and better.”

A Battle-Tested Veteran Stands In His Way

Habibpour's redemption bid comes against a genuine test in Wuttikrai Wor Chakrawut, a seasoned veteran carrying 51 career wins and a track record of success inside ONE Championship, including three knockout victories that highlight his finishing ability.

Wuttikrai has built his game around sharp kicks and dangerous clinch work, giving him the tools to end fights at any range. However, his own vulnerabilities have occasionally been exposed against fighters who can control distance.

The Iranian, for his part, sees the stylistic matchup as one that could produce fireworks.

"Wuttikrai is another fighter who [thrives] in close distances, and that will make the fight more interesting and attractive," Habibpour acknowledged.

A Detailed Game Plan For Both Ends Of The Fight

With a clear read on his opponent's tendencies, Habibpour has built out a specific strategy covering both his offensive weapons and defensive responsibilities heading into the ONE Friday Fights 168 main event.

"My main plan to fight [against his style] is to use my boxing and hands. I can rely on my kicks too, but I think that will only give Wuttikrai the chance to use his hands. Therefore, I want to focus on my hands," Habibpour explained.

"[The best method] for me is to attack him with left hooks and uppercuts to his stomach. These will be two tactics I'll be relying on. In defense, I will keep an eye on Wuttikrai's left kick and right punch. I'll use my movement to defend against that."
