Dedduanglek Demolishes Mongkoldetlek, Khundet Survives A War At ONE Friday Fights 174

A knockout for the ages and a true test of will defined ONE Friday Fights 174 at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, October 9. Dedduanglek Torfunfarm delivered the performance of his life in the main event, while Khundet PK Saenchai dug deep to survive a back-and-forth battle in the co-main event.

Dedduanglek Delivers The Biggest Win Of His Career

Road to ONE: Thailand tournament winner Dedduanglek Torfunfarm backed up every bit of his pre-fight confidence, as he knocked out former Lumpinee Stadium World Champion Mongkoldetlek Por Pim-on in the main event to cap off another heart-pounding day of fights.

The 23-year-old Thai standout Dedduanglek attacked his compatriot immediately, using sharp footwork to angle away from Mongkoldetlek’s kicks while landing clean boxing combinations to the head and body.

Dedduanglek continued with his game plan in round two of their bantamweight Muay Thai showdown, throwing out his famed head kicks and body kicks. But it was a left hook to the body that hurt the 31-year-old veteran.

Sensing his opportunity for a finish, Dedduanglek pounced immediately and closed the show with a six-punch combination that left no doubt. Once Mongkoldetlek hit the canvas, the referee immediately stopped the contest with 96 seconds remaining in the frame.

That stoppage victory improved his record to 60-16 and was the signature performance he had been seeking. What’s more, he accomplished something not even former ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Joseph Lasiri or reigning ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Jonathan Haggerty were able to do: knock out Mongkoldetlek.

Khundet Grinds Out A Hard-Fought Decision

The co-main event turned into a genuine war of wills, with neither Khundet PK Saenchai nor Kiwthong TKD Muaythai forfeiting an inch.

Kiwthong set an aggressive tone from the opening bell of the bantamweight Muay Thai clash, landing heavy right hands that tested his 21-year-old Thai countryman’s chin early. But Khundet weathered the storm, gradually finding his rhythm with push kicks and a well-placed elbow that left his 20-year-old rival bleeding near the eye.

Things only intensified from there.

Khundet floored his opponent in the second round, but Kiwthong refused to let the moment define him, beating the referee’s eight-count and immediately returning fire. Neither man let up through a frantic third round, trading shot for shot until the final bell.

In the end, Khundet’s steady output edged out the scorecards, as two of the three judges sided with him. That majority decision victory gave him his 65th career victory in a fight that offered no shortage of drama.
