Frosinone condemned to relegation from Serie A
Frosinone's relegation from Serie A has been confirmed after it squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Sassuolo.
Marco Baroni's side needed to beat Sassuolo on Monday (AEST) to have any hopes of avoiding the drop to Serie B.
And it was well on its way to victory after taking a 2-0 lead into he half-time interval, captain Paolo Sammarco having opened the scoring before Luca Paganini struck.
Frosinone, which has only won five times in the league this season, suffered a second-half capitulation.
Sassuolo hit back through Gianmarco Ferrari in the 66th minute and 11 minutes later Jeremie Boga levelled.
Baroni's men could not find a late winner and it joins Chievo in being relegated from Serie A.
