The Artificial Intelligence Predicted the Champions League Winner
Manchester City and Real Madrid are the clear favorites to claim the title.
The eight teams competing in the Champions League Round of 16 have been confirmed, all aiming to lift the trophy and become Europe's best club. While we may not be able to identify the most probable winner yet, Opta's supercomputer has made its predictions.
In the eyes of many, Manchester City and Real Madrid are the frontrunners and the teams to beat. However, Opta's supercomputer has thrown some surprises, naming Mikel Arteta's Arsenal as the third favorite to win the
trophy.
On the other hand, there are more surprises in store. Among the three Spanish teams remaining, two have been deemed less likely to win: Atletico Madrid under "Cholo" Simeone and Xavi Hernandez's Barcelona. Opta even ranks Borussia Dortmund above these two teams.
According to the percentage table, Manchester City leads with a 32.30% chance, followed by Real Madrid at 16.87%. Arsenal sits in third place with a 13.09% chance, while PSG, led by Kylian Mbappé, follows closely with an
11.80% chance. Bayern Munich has a 10.75% probability, followed by Borussia Dortmund with 5.6%. At the bottom are Barcelona with 5.38% and Atletico Madrid with 4.19%.
However, things could change after the Champions League draw on Friday, March 15, when the Quarterfinal matchups will be determined along with the respective Semifinal ties.
