Harry Kane Could Break Record Against Real Madrid
Harry Kane could make history if he scores against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals.
We're in for an incredible match tomorrow afternoon as Bayern Munich hosts Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena in the first leg of the 2023/2024 Champions League semifinals. Moreover, the star forward of the German side could make history by contributing to a goal against the team led by Carlo Ancelotti.
Harry Kane has been involved in 10 goals in 10 matches for FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League this season (7 goals and 3 assists). If he scores or assists in this match, he would set a new record for goal
involvement by an English player in a single campaign in the competition (matching the 10 of David Beckham in 1998-99 and 2001-02, and Steven Gerrard in 2007-08).
However, this won't be an easy task as Bayern Munich's opponent in the semifinals will be Real Madrid, a giant in the competition and the team that eliminated last season's reigning champion, Manchester City under Pep Guardiola.
The first leg will be played on Tuesday, April 30th, at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich's home ground, and the second leg will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on May 8th.
