After ten years of absence from the Copa Sudamericana, Boca Juniors returns to 'the other half of glory' after failing to secure a spot in the Copa Libertadores.

The Xeneize team is widely considered the frontrunner to conquer the tournament. To do so, they must first navigate through the group stage, where they are grouped in Group D alongside Nacional Potosí, Fortaleza, and Sportivo Trinidense.

Boca already knows what it takes to win the Copa Sudamericana, having done so twice consecutively in 2004 and 2005. Their last participation was in 2014.
