Seven Players Will Have to Leave Bayern at The End of The Season
Bayern Munich plans a profound squad transformation, and by the end of this season, it is estimated that seven players will have to leave the club, according to information from the sports magazine "Kicker."
Among the candidates to leave are right-back Bouna Sarr, who has never managed to become a true alternative for the position at Bayern, and forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, who has mostly been a substitute but has had good moments in his four-year career at Bayern.
Both Choupo-Moting and Sarr are out of contract at the end of the season, so their departure will not pose contractual problems.
Max Eberl, who is expected to be appointed as the sports director on the board tomorrow, will also have to decide on the future of another twelve players who are not identified by the publication.
On one hand, there are players associated with other clubs, such as Alphonso Davies with Real Madrid, and on the other hand, there are cases where doubts remain about the performance of one player or another.
Bayern's finances allow for transfers, but the departure of several players is deemed necessary to improve the club's position in the market.
In any case, Eberl's first task - who could already be in his position for Friday's match against Freiburg - will be to decide on the successor to the current coach, Thomas Tuchel.
Various names are being considered among the candidates, ranging from Xabi Alonso to Zinedine Zidane, and including a possible return of Hansi Flick or Julian Nagelsmann.
According to the Munich newspaper Tz, Xabi Alonso, who leads the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, is currently not interested in a venture in Munich.
