Bayern Munich is still in a bit of a pickle on the sidelines. After the announcement of Thomas Tuchel's departure from the German bench, the Bavarian club hasn't found a successor, caught in a cycle of rejections and unable to define a profile.

According to reports from Bild, a German newspaper, this could lead Bayern to consider an unusual option gaining momentum in their offices. That's to turn captain Thomas Müller into a player/coach next season.

At 34, Müller is a club legend, having spent over 10 years at Bayern. Now, in the final stretch of his career, he could have the chance to debut on the sidelines alongside Hermann Gerland, who was an advisor to Hansi Flick in Munich.
