Inter Miami's Promise Can't Wait to Play with Messi
In December, the 2024 MLS SuperDraft took place, and Inter Miami selected an Italian gem: Yannick Bright, a 22-year-old promising talent.
Bright arrived in the United States in 2020 with intentions to play collegiate soccer, and after impressive performances, he was selected in the first round of the SuperDraft by the team where Lionel Messi plays.
The Italian midfielder made his debut with the Miami squad on March 23, however, due to Messi's injury, the two haven't been able to share the field together.
"I can't wait for it to happen (playing with Messi); it's always been my dream. He's my idol; I grew up watching him play. He's my favorite player of all time, so I'm very excited," declared the 22-year-old Bright.It's expected that Messi will return to Inter Miami just in time for the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup Quarterfinals, where they will host Monterrey on April 3rd.
