Haaland Signs With Clash of Clans
The Norwegian footballer from Manchester City, Erling Haaland, will become a character in the popular mobile game "Clash of Clans," one of the most downloaded games in the world, according to the Finnish studio Supercell.
The Norwegian forward, who is a big fan of this video game, will be the "Barbarian King" in a football-themed game that will only be available during the month of May.
According to the creators of "Clash of Clans," this will be the first time they add a character based on a real person to the popular game, which already has over 2 billion downloads worldwide on all platforms.
Players will have the option to play as Haaland's character to face other clans or try to defeat the village defended by the Norwegian forward.
For the launch campaign, Supercell released a video in which Haaland himself meets characters from the game, who transport him to the animated world of "Clash of Clans" to face off against a rival clan, transformed into the "Barbarian King."
According to the Finnish company in a statement, this collaboration was made possible because Haaland has been a big fan of this video game for a long time, in which he has built an impressive village that he has defended from rival clans.
"It's been tough to keep this a secret, but I'm excited to finally talk about this epic collaboration with 'Clash of Clans'. I've been a big fan of the game for a long time and I know everything about it, so appearing as a character in the game is really cool," Haaland said.
The Finnish company assured that this is just the beginning of the collaboration with the Manchester City forward and announced that there will be "even more exciting news" centered on the footballer in the future.
