Barcelona Set Sight on Ligue 1 Revelation For Midfield
Barcelona's number one priority is to sign a defensive midfielder for their midfield, a position that has been left vacant since Sergio Busquets' departure to Inter Miami alongside Lionel Messi.
Now, it seems that the Blaugrana club has its eye on the sensation of Ligue 1: Képhren Thuram, a holding midfielder for Nice who has attracted several suitors, including clubs from the Premier League and Real Madrid.
Thuram's contract with Nice expires in 2025 and the player is valued at 35 million euros; moreover, everything indicates that the player will not renew with the French club.
One reason why Barcelona may outbid other interested parties is that the club owns 20% of the rights of Jean-Clair Todibo, who currently plays for Nice; therefore, this could be the key to successful negotiations.
