Rosberg happy with second at Mexican GP
Lewis Hamilton reigned supreme in Mexico on Sunday but Nico Rosberg still boasts a 19-point lead atop the drivers' standings.
Nico Rosberg played second-fiddle to Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton in Mexico but the Formula One world championship leader had no complaints.
Hamilton claimed his 51st career F1 win with victory at the Mexican Grand Prix as Mercedes clinched a one-two finish.
Sunday's victory kept Hamilton alive in the title race in his bid to overhaul Rosberg's 19-point lead atop the drivers' standings.
Speaking to reporters afterwards, Rosberg said: "It's been a good day. Lewis has been too fast this weekend, so I just have to accept second place.
"We've had some massive battles out there. At the start I got shunted and then with Max later on and everything, so it's OK to be second."
Rosberg can claim his maiden F1 title by triumphing in Brazil in a fortnight, and the German added: "At the moment I'm more thinking about the missed chance to win the race here today.
"But of course, from tomorrow on I'll look forward.
"I'll stick to my plan of just going there and trying to win – which satisfies both things!"
