Tiger Woods' arraignment delayed until August 9
Former world number one Tiger Woods had been scheduled to appear in court to face a DUI charge next month, but the hearing has been put back
Tiger Woods' arraignment for a driving under the influence charge has been pushed back several weeks.
Palm Beach County court records show Woods' original July 5 arraignment has been cancelled and a new hearing set for August 9 at 8:30 am ET. Judge Sandra Bosso Pardo approved the change on Thursday.
Woods was arrested and charged with DUI early on May 29 after a police officer in Jupiter, Florida found him asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes, which was parked in a travel lane.
The 14-time major winner failed field sobriety tests, but blew a .000 in a pair of breathalyser tests administered after he was brought in by police.
Woods attributed his condition to medications he was taking in the wake of recent back surgery that has kept him sidelined from the PGA Tour.
