Salah returns to training with Egypt, but Liverpool star looks unlikely to take part in opening match against Uruguay
Salah trains on his own as Egypt prepares for Uruguay opener
Mohamed Salah has undergone light training for the first time with the Egyptian team, as the Pharaohs start to prepare for their Group A opener against Uruguay on Friday afternoon.
A big question mark hangs over the participation of Liverpool striker Salah, who is still receiving treatment for the shoulder injury he suffered in the Champions League final.
Team doctor Mohamed Abou al-Ela admitted the striker, who scored 44 goals for Liverpool this season, was unlikely to play in Egypt's opening Group A match against Uruguay on Friday.
"He still feels pain... this type of injury needs a recovery period of three weeks before going back to the field," he said
However, Salah did some light running in Grozny on Monday, monitored by medical staff, as the other Egypt players took part in a group warm-up.
