Wasps ends Halfpenny pursuit
Bath is thought to be leading the battle to sign Leigh Halfpenny after Premiership rival Wasps "moved on" from trying to recruit him.
Dai Young has revealed Wasps has ended its long pursuit of Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny.
Halfpenny's future had been the subject of speculation months before Toulon opted against offering the British and Irish Lions star a new contract.
Wasps was among the clubs keen to recruit the 28-year-old, but the Premiership side's director of rugby said it is not prepared to wait any longer for Halfpenny to decide what his next move will be.
"We were really keen to get Leigh on board and we tried over a period of months," Young told The Rugby Paper.
"But we found it very hard to get a decision out of him and in the end we couldn't get one. We have moved on since then."
Bath is now thought to be the front-runner in the battle for Halfpenny's signature.
